YOUR HOSTS

Beatriz Maximo is originally from Portugal and lives in Marrakech. She first fell in love with Morocco more than 20 years ago, when she moved to Skoura in Southern Morocco and restored an ancient Kasbah that she transformed into a hotel.

Over the years, her passion for Moroccan people, craftsmanship, design and hospitality has only deepened. A ceramic artist herself, Beatriz has developed a personal practice centered around clay and recently spent time in Japan refining her skills alongside master ceramicists. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for handmade objects, traditional techniques and the beauty of imperfection.

Beatriz is a natural at making every guest feel welcome and at home. With her warm personality, keen eye for detail and talent for creating memorable experiences, she is the creative spirit behind the atmosphere and style of Kasbah Bab Ourika and Dar Faracha.

She looks forward to opening the doors to your Moroccan escape and sharing a little of the magic she has found along the way.
